Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Spa, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards Maintain cleanliness and report deficiencies of all equipment Prepare rooms for treatments according to specified guidelines Cross-train on spa desk duties to cover breaks and vacation Maintain the facility in peak sanitary condition at all times Maintain locker rooms in a tidy manner Check and clean lockers when needed Maintain toiletries in locker room vanities Maintain linen inventory with laundry on a scheduled basis Direct members/guests to appointments and assist them in every way possible Ensure stocking of all spa amenities and toiletries Attend daily/weekly/monthly facility operations departmental communications meeting Adhere to facility operations departmental emergency procedures/safety manual Ensure guest/member satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always the Spa's first priority Ensure operations department maintains a positive relationship with all departments in the spa and hotel Ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times (operations and cleanliness) Adhere to the hotel's vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles Follow all safety and sanitation policies Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience in spa or hospitality industry First Aid and CPR – Basic Rescuer certificate Physically fit and able to work well under pressure Able to push, pull, lift up to 50+ lbs Able to bend and kneel with comfort Able to speak/read/write in English Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible and reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to): Frequent standing and walking throughout shift Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
