MOUNT ROBSON INN offers 80 guestrooms in a variety of sizes to accommodate guests. Operating on a year round basis, Mount Robson Inn provides a good learning environment for tourism students interested in gaining experience in the hotel industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES involve handling check-ins/check-outs, telephone calls and reservations, e-mail and fax correspondence, guest services (concierge), baggage handling, wake-up calls and daily accounting; introduction to group reservations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strong verbal English communication skills with emphasis on sales. The candidate must be a team player. Prior cash and credit card transactions and clerical experience is an asset. Basic computer skills are necessary, as the Front Desk operates on WebRezPro Reservation System. Candidate must be self-motivated within the office environment and able to work with minimum supervision. Knowledge of a second language is an asset (German, Dutch, French, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese).
