Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Supermarket or bakery department
Type of Equipment: Conventional oven
Food Specialties: Desserts and pastries, Donuts and muffins, Cake decorating
Specific Skills: Bake mixed dough and batters, Prepare special orders, Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods, Draw up production schedules, Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards, Inspect kitchen and food service areas
Additional Skills: Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies, Maintain records and inventory, Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff, Train staff, Oversee sales
Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Continuous learning
Other Information:Applicants should be able to provide photos of their previous cake decorating skills. Applicants with no previous baking and decorating skills will not be considered.
