What will you do in this job?:
Guest experience agents provide an upbeat, professional service that goes above and beyond our guests’ expectations. You will come across thousands of guests a day from all over the world, so being up to date on all Pursuit products, discounts and promotions is key. Attention to detail and effective communication skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest is the most important aspect of this position. This position includes indoor and outdoor components, meaning that your working week will vary.

This is a multi-faceted position and can include any, or all, of the following:

Providing an exceptional hospitality focused informational and sales interaction with guests visiting Maligne Lake
Being current and up to date on all Pursuit attractions, products and promotions along with our other services/experiences provided on site
Providing information and answering questions as to general knowledge of the Maligne Valley and Jasper area
Part of a larger "Adventure Centre" team with locations at Maligne Lake as well as the Town Office located within the town of Jasper - shifts will be scheduled at both locations
Educating guests on the Pursuit attractions and guiding them through the purchasing process
Processing and assisting with tour group check-in, and coordinating with dispatch for any logistical changes to orders
Checking in guests as they arrive at the tour boat boarding area scanning all access tickets, coordinating guests for efficient and timely boarding and answering questions
Be 1st point of contact for any tour boarding issues including tour delays or cancellations, guests who have missed their tour or have not arrived and communicating effectively with tour directors and the guest services office/dispatch
Work closely with boat captain/guides as to loading/unloading of the tour boats
Any guest surveying required
Maintaining cleanliness/sanitization of ticket and boarding areas, and frequent cleaning of high touchpoint areas during entire duration of shift
To be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of the point of sale, cash and credit transactions along with daily cash out procedures
Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
Strong communication skills, with an ability to proactively listen and be empathetic
Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
Previous hospitality and cash handling experience an asset
Hospitality oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
Ability to think on the fly and outside the box to solve problems with a positive attitude
Second language is an asset
Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepare for all season weather (snow, rain, wind, hail)
Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards

Standard First-Aid or higher an asset

This fun, summer job runs from May 21 until October 11 or June 7 or June 21 until September 6.
