Duties
Provides clerical and administrative/operational support services and related information/guidance, typically in support of a specific function or a program area in a field unit.

Intent of the process
You may have noticed this inventory doesn’t close for quite some time… this is because our organization and our team members are constantly evolving, allowing us to consistently offer opportunities. Our plan is to select names from the inventory as positions become available.

You should also know this inventory is anticipatory, which means you are not applying to a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies.

This process is intended to fill anticipated vacancies with the same work description and may be used to staff various length of tenures (temporary, full-time, and part-time), for a maximum term length of 6 months.

A variety of positions may be filled from this competition. Positions could be located in a range of work locations in Jasper National Park such as the Visitor Information Centre, the Administration Building, the Maintenance Compound or the Palisades Education Centre.

The first anticipated draw from the inventory will take place in December 15, 2020 with interviews to build the inventory to take place in January 2021. Applicant draws will take place approximately quarterly for the duration of the time the inventory is open. It is anticipated that this inventory will be used to fill multiple short term (6 months or less) vacancies over the two next years.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of secondary school or Public Service Commission approved alternative.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Providing administrative support services such as: maintaining records and filing systems, recording meeting minutes, arranging travel and meetings, purchasing, processing financial and human resource paperwork;
Use of various software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and email applications;
Planning, organising and prioritising work within an office environment with changing demands;
Preparing, editing and formatting written correspondence such as: reports, letters and emails.

Conditions of employment
