Education: Completion of high school
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Work Setting: Newspaper/magazine shop, Convenience store, Gift shop, Men's clothing store, Women's clothing store, Children's clothing store
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Point of sale system, Electronic mail, Electronic scheduler, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Inventory control software, Basic computer skills (will train), General office equipment, Internet competency
Staff Responsibility: 1 - 20
Specific Skills: Plan, direct and evaluate daily operations, Manage staff and assign duties, Perform cash deposits, Balance daily transactions, Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, Determine staffing requirements, Recruit and train staff, Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters, Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages, Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise, Customer service oriented
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Credit check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods
