Decore Hotels is a small family-owned business with two locations in Jasper. We make it our mission to bring joy to our guests by providing clean and well-maintained hotel rooms and exceptional friendly service in the heart of the outstanding Jasper National Park.

If you are passionate about the outdoors and like the sound of spending your days off exploring the numerous hiking trails, frozen lakes, or ski slopes; then we want you to join our team as a Night Auditor.

Essential Job Functions:

Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests; including issuing rooms keys, ensuring that all guests sign a guest registration card and provide a credit card or other method of payment.
Answer, screen and forward phone calls, take messages and schedule/change reservations.
Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Post room charges, food & beverage charges, phone charges, compute guest bills (individual, group masters, and city ledger accounts) using the PMS system, collect payment and make change for hotel guests following all cash handling procedures as required by company policy.
Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, no show reservations, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc., to ensure accuracy
Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists
Run night audit end of day after insuring all revenues are in balance nightly
Have knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff, and hotel services with hours of operations; room locations, types of rooms and room selling strategies; hotel rates and discounts and how to handle each; and hotel credit policies and procedures.
Be very knowledgeable of the Brand loyalty program and their benefits and current promotions being offered.
Develop a thorough knowledge of Emergency procedures
Record all guest comments and complaints
Resolve guest issues quickly, efficiently, courteously and professionally
Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts
Maintain room key control and supervise guest access to safe deposit boxes
Verify banks deposits each shift and follow all cash-handling and credit policies
Responsible for the order and cleanliness of the front desk and adjacent work areas.
Complete front desk communication daily shift email
Report and store lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
Set up the breakfast area as directed; replenish breakfast items as needed
Perform laundry duties
May perform other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management
Knowledge/Skills:

Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Must be dependable
Ability to work mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiply and divide. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentage, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning ability to define problems collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Must be computer proficient
Experience with Opera considered an asset
