Description 	The Maintenance Worker is responsible for a variety of tasks within any areas of the Hotel. Maintenance Worker have to take care of the building, it’s equipment and it’s surrounding. The Maintenance Worker must ensure hotel quality and guest satisfaction at all times and assist guests whenever possible with a positive and cooperative attitude and a SMILE.
Reports to: Maintenance Manager/Assistant Maintenance Manager
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
•	Operations and maintenance of the pool and hut tub areas
•	Maintenance and inspection of the building and equipment within it including but not limited to: guest room, common and public area, mechanical and electrical room, storage…
•	Maintenance, landscaping and cleanliness of the outside area of the Hotel
•	Work within a time frame
•	Pro-active maintenance and attention to details
•	Provide courteous guest services and respond quickly to guest and staff requests
•	Responsible to keep the storage room organized
•	Observe, report and troubleshoot  any repairs needed
•	Report to work in required uniform and in adherence with the Sawridge Dress Code Policy
•	Must be able to work independently and as a team player
•	Have Health and Safety in mind at all time and for any job
•	Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Executive Maintenance Manager or General Manager
 
Position Requirements 	•	Good command of the English language
•	Previous maintenance and construction experience an asset
•	Previous pool operation experience an asset
•	Some carpentry skills required
•	Capable of following verbal and written directions
•	Possess good health and physical condition: bending, crouching, kneeling
•	Ability to lift 50 lbs or 22 kg
•	Ability to work with minimal supervision
•	Ability to work within a team concept
•	Ability to communicate with guests
•	Neat and clean in appearance and work habits
•	Computer skills an asset
•	Driving license class 5 with clean driver abstract
Staff Accommodation is provided. The accommodation is apartment style and fully furnished (bachelor apartments, no private bedroom). Two employees share one apartment with kitchen facility and bathroom. Cost: $7.35 per day, $10.00 per month for cable (television is provided) and $25.00 per month for utilities. The staff accommodation building is located directly behind the hotel.
