Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance & Business Support, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service • Follow policies, procedures and service standards • Assist Accounts Payable with data entry and record management • Process all invoices in a timely manner, ensuring all invoices have all required supporting documentation (including purchase orders, receiving/department head authorization) • Maintain alphabetical files by vendor containing complete invoices and backup attached to the cheques for efficient access after payment. All filing is to be kept current • Assist AP Supervisor with month end functions • Assist Income Audit with preparation of daily rebate, duty, promo and operations packages. • Assist General Cashier with laundry coin collection and recording • Follow departmental policies and procedures • Follow all safety and sanitation policies • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Previous hotel accounting experience an asset. • Post-secondary education with a focus on accounting an asset. • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word are strongly recommended. • Working knowledge of Sun Systems and Adaco are an asset. • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities • Highly responsible & reliable • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
