Sunwapta is a semi-remote Mountain Lodge located 53km south of downtown Jasper. It’s a very unique experience in that all 45 of our staff live on property in inexpensive staff housing (under $150/m). There is an unparalleled sense of family.

We are open from May to October, so it's the perfect time to explore the Rockies, learn new skills, bank some money and be ready for fall.
General Characteristics
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales and the Restaurant and Resident Manager, the position of Night Auditor is responsible for night reconciliation of all revenue based transactions in addition to data pooling mechanical information, labour information, and other information as required. It is a Front Desk Position, and while taking reservations are light, customer service and helping guests is always a priority. The position shift is from midnight to 730am, six days per week.
There are security duties to ensure the enjoyment and general safety of the main lodge, guests, and staff. This role requires you to work without supervision and to have a fundamental understanding of how to balance daily cash outs, trouble shoot Microsoft Excel formulas, problem solve, and a good ability to learn new software and computer operations.
Specific Accountabilities / Know How
- Knowledge of reservation system operations
- Reservation taking and bookings
- Check-ins and outs
- Promptly answer phones with friendliness and courtesy
- Reconciliation of all non-cash envelopes for all depts.
- Reconciliation of US exchange – All Depts.
- Adjustments to all over rings, over/short, refunds
- Cross referencing of all till tapes
- Procedures for time cards and labour reports
- Procedures for all category reports
- Procedures for preparing of CC deposits
- Procedures for all company charges and tour operator charges
- Procedures for all black book entries
- Internal Audit for all entries made.
- Confirmation of all maintenance, cabin, and maid reports
- Procedures for posting invoices, tour charges, bank deposits, & charge cards
- Notifying supervisors of all discrepancies
- The operation and closing procedures of all trans select machine
- Insure all back-ups are complete
Security
- Ensuring Main Lodge is secured and locked down and empty of employees
- Monitoring any evening cleaning staff
- Timely lodge perimeter security checks
- Handling customer complaints, requests, and concerns
- Monitoring staff accommodation
- Execution of all guest rooms wake up call requests
Human Relations
- Dealing with customers and guests with a friendly and courteous manner
- Good communications with ending and starting shift personnel
- Respectful relations with all other resort staff
