What will you do in this job?:
Guest Experience Agents have a unique role of helping guests at our properties realize their vacation dreams. This position will work with the front desk team in checking guests in and out of the hotel with a major focus on cross promotion of our attractions and dining options during our peak times. A positive attitude, passion for our experiences, and great communication skills are essential to create unforgettable hospitality experiences for our guests.

Process telephone calls
Process group arrivals and departures
Register arriving guests and assign rooms
Process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payment
Take, cancel, and change room reservations
Resolve minor guest complaints and refer to Hotel Manager or Front Desk Supervisor as required
Refer major guest complaints to Hotel Manager or Front Desk Supervisor
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Provide information on hotel facilities and services, and local points of interest
Provide information regarding room status and special guests to other departments
Learn the Emergency Response Manual thoroughly
Provide information & confirm bookings for our guests on our local Pursuit attractions
Provide information and confirm bookings for meals across all F&B outlets in our collection
Perform related Front Desk duties as directed by Supervisor
Provide information and promote all Pursuit products (Brewster Express, Sightseeing tours, Attractions, Hotels, Food & Beverage)
Act as a point of sale for guests who want to book, and direct those to Pursuit Adventure Centre locations if they wish to book later
Represent Pursuit and Pursuit Adventure Centre in a professional manner and create a great first impression for visitors
Work independently with the support of a team to achieve organizational goals and drive sales
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and an outgoing personality
Able to work with minimal direct supervision
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Pursuit standards
Computer knowledge (we are willing to train for this)
Attend and review product knowledge documents and training sessions to fully understand new Pursuit product offerings
Passionate about tourism and hospitality and strive to help create memorable experiences for visitors to the Canadian Rockies

This fun, summer job has contract dates from May 14 through October 11, 2021.

Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required
