Job Description Spa Attendant Luxury and tranquility in an authentic setting, await our Guests at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge’s Spa. As a Spa Attendant our Guests will enjoy the professional and personalized spa experience you offer. The expertise and attention to detail you provide during their treatment will ensure our guests have a memory to share. Rate of Pay: Starting at $16.53 per hour. Full rate after one year is $20.71 per hour. What is in it for you: Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status Competitive extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental for full time permanent status Employee Travel Program Comprehensive Wellness Platform (LifeWorks) Discounts on food & beverage/spa/golf Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and over 5,000 properties with Accor What you will be doing: Reporting to the Director of Spa, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards Maintain cleanliness and report deficiencies of all equipment Prepare rooms for treatments according to specified guidelines Cross-train on spa desk duties to cover breaks and vacation Maintain the facility in peak sanitary condition at all times Maintain locker rooms in a tidy manner Check and clean lockers when needed Maintain toiletries in locker room vanities Maintain linen inventory with laundry on a scheduled basis Direct members/guests to appointments and assist them in every way possible Ensure stocking of all spa amenities and toiletries Attend daily/weekly/monthly facility operations departmental communications meeting Adhere to facility operations departmental emergency procedures/safety manual Ensure guest/member satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always the Spa's first priority Ensure operations department maintains a positive relationship with all departments in the spa and hotel Ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times (operations and cleanliness) Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles Follow all safety and sanitation policies Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Minimum 1 year experience in spa or hospitality industry First Aid and CPR – Basic Rescuer certificate Physically fit and able to work well under pressure Able to push, pull, lift up to 50+ lbs Able to bend and kneel with comfort Able to speak/read/write in English Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible and reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Your team and working environment: Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotel Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summer Hospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connections Sitting – 1-8 hrs/day Walking: 1-3 hrs/day Standing: 3-4 hrs/day Bending/Reaching: 1-3 hrs/day Pushing/Pulling: 1-2 hrs/day Physical effort: medium – required to lift up to 50 lbs Additional Information Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
