Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Location: Jasper, Alberta

Front Desk Agents are the face of the hotel and are often the first and last interaction a guest has with the business. Therefore, it’s essential that you take every opportunity to make our guests' stay with us, and their time in Jasper, as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

What the position looks like

As a Front Desk Agent your duties will include, but are not limited to:

· Handling all arrivals and departures in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner

· Taking and managing reservations by telephone, email and third party

· Dealing with guest requests, inquiries, and complaints swiftly and professionally

· Working collaboratively across departments to ensure the best possible guest experience.

· Maintaining a constant focus on providing the best experience possible for our guests

· General administrative and clerical duties including basic accounting, data entry, cash handling, filing, photocopying and shredding.

· Thorough understanding of hotel policies, procedures, rates, and packages

· Offering advice and guidance on local attractions and amenities to guests

What we require from you

· Minimum 1 year customer service experience

· Valid work permit, permanent residence status or citizenship and currently residing in Canada

· Basic proficiency in IT equipment and Microsoft Office

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Fluency in English is essential, and a second language would be an asset

· Strong focus on providing and contributing to an exceptional guest experience

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Previous front desk or guest services experience an asset

· Must be prepared to work early, late and weekend shifts of 8 hours
