About Aerrand

Aerrand is a local delivery platform that connects communities across Canada with verified, trusted delivery specialists called Aerranders. We handle a broad range of same-day delivery needs: personal errands, marketplace pickups, peer-to-peer item transfers, business orders, and more.

What sets Aerrand apart is Aerrand Guard™ our optional verification and escrow protocol that gives customers confidence when purchasing items from online marketplaces. When Guard™ is active on a delivery, Aerranders act as trusted on-the-ground inspectors, not just couriers. More on that below.

Your Role

As an Aerrander, you’ll take on two types of jobs available through the same app, on your schedule.

Standard Deliveries

Straightforward pickup and drop-off. You collect an item from a sender and deliver it to the recipient. Jobs vary in size — from small parcels to large furniture — and are matched to your vehicle type.

Aerrand Guard™ Deliveries

When a customer activates Aerrand Guard™ on their order — most common with marketplace purchases — your role expands. You’re not just delivering; you’re the customer’s eyes and hands on the ground, running a professional item inspection before anything gets picked up.Guard™ jobs typically pay more to reflect this additional responsibility.

How Aerrand Guard™ Works

Aerrand Guard™ is Aerrand’s proprietary verification and escrow protocol. When it’s active on a job, here’s what you do:

1. Arrive at the pickup location and assess the item against the customer’s listing. You are their representative on the ground.

2. Work through a structured inspection checklist in the app — built by the customer or auto-generated by Aerrand’s AI based on item type. Photograph and video each point systematically. Nothing gets skipped.

3. Send the customer photo and video confirmation via in-app chat and respond to any follow-up questions. You’re the bridge between customer and item pickup point.

4. Wait for customer approval before touching the item. If something is off — a crack, a missing accessory, a condition mismatch — you flag it. The customer decides. No pickup without their explicit approval.

5. On approval, collect and deliver same-day. Payment releases to your wallet automatically on confirmed delivery.

Note: If a customer declines after inspection, you are compensated for your time from a portion of the delivery fee. Your trip is never wasted.

Any Item. Any Size.

Aerrand handles the full range of delivery sizes. Jobs are matched to your vehicle type, so you’ll never be asked to carry something your setup can’t handle.

Small — books, clothing, accessories, small electronics
Medium — bikes, appliances, boxed goods, bagged items
Heavy — single large or bulky items; pickup truck or minivan required
Extra-heavy — multiple large items or oversized loads; cargo van required
What You’ll Do

Pick up and deliver items safely and on time across both standard and Guard™ jobs
Conduct Aerrand Guard™ inspections when assigned — photograph items, follow the checklist, and communicate with customers via in-app chat
Exercise professional judgment on Guard™ jobs: flag anything that doesn’t match the listing
Use in-app tools for real-time tracking, secure communication, and delivery confirmation
Handle items carefully across all size categories — from small parcels to large furniture
Maintain a strong Aerrander rating by being reliable, accurate, and professional on every job
Pay & Flexibility

Transparent per-delivery earnings — see exactly what you’ll make before accepting every job (Guard™ jobs reflect additional responsibility)
Keep 100% of your tips
Work only when it suits you — no mandatory shifts, no minimum hours
Weekly or instant payout options
Independent contractor status
* Earnings vary by job type, item size, distance, and local demand.

Qualifications

21 years of age or older
Valid driver’s licence appropriate to your vehicle type
A reliable vehicle — bike, scooter, car, or cargo vehicle depending on the jobs you wish to take
Proof of valid vehicle insurance appropriate to your vehicle type
Consent to a background check as part of the Aerrander verification process
A smartphone (iOS or Android)
Valid government-issued photo ID
Strong attention to detail and clear communication — especially important for Guard™ jobs where accuracy is everything
Important: Vehicle Insurance

As an independent contractor using your personal vehicle for delivery work, you are responsible for ensuring your vehicle insurance covers commercial or for-hire use. Standard personal auto insurance policies in Canada typically do not cover commercial activity.

You must notify your insurance provider that your vehicle is used for delivery purposes before completing any jobs on the Aerrand platform. Coverage requirements vary by province and insurer. Failure to disclose commercial use may result in a claim being denied in the event of an incident.

Aerrand strongly encourages all Aerranders to speak with their insurer before their first delivery.

Driver Referral Bonus Program

Help grow the Aerrander community and earn more doing it:

Refer a friend to become an Aerrander
Once they complete their first 10 deliveries, you both earn a bonus
Unlimited referrals — no cap
Bonus amounts and full details are shared during onboarding.

Equity, Access & Inclusion

Aerrand is committed to building an inclusive platform where Aerranders from all backgrounds, communities, and regions across Canada are welcomed and supported. Applicants from equity-deserving groups are encouraged to apply.

Accommodations are available throughout the application and onboarding process in accordance with the Canadian Human Rights Act and applicable provincial human rights legislation. If you require an accommodation, please indicate this in your application.

How to Apply

Apply through Indeed to join the Aerrand Driver Waitlist. Early applicants receive priority onboarding and launch incentives in their city.

Why This Matters

Local delivery is becoming part of everyday life, and Aerranders are at the centre of it. Whether you’re completing a quick errand across town or running a Guard™ inspection that saves someone from a $500 mistake, the work you do has a real impact on real people.

Joining Aerrand early means you’re part of building a Canada-wide network from the ground up — a trusted, community-first logistics platform built on transparency, security, and local sustainability.
