About the role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Process Maintenance, the Pipefitter is responsible for installing and maintaining piping systems at our Greenhills Operation.

Schedule: This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 straight day shift schedule. Come experience what work life balance is all about!

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Elkford, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Fabricate and install piping arrangements for slurry, water, and refuse lines ranging from 2" to 36"
Diagnose piping system failures in the processing facility
Disassemble and reassemble system components
Weld, cement, and thread joints to join pipes using soldering and welding equipment
Maintain, create and record work order records
In certain components of this role, it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal.
Requirements:

Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Pipefitter certification
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
Small Water and Small Wastewater systems ticket would be an asset
Valid driver’s license
Working knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft Office®)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to work cross functionally between trades
Experience in a mining environment is an asset
