Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is in the midst of a multi-phase resort transformation, including all new venues, refreshed spaces, and evolving service models. Restaurant, Bar & Guest Services teams will be working in newly renovated spaces, with updated layouts, technology, and guest flow.

Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Concierge. The knowledge of a great Concierge is the expectation of our guests when staying at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Your ability to anticipate the guests' needs and make informed suggestions will ensure they have a truly memorable stay.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Assist guests with mail, messages, and any plans or arrangements they require including onsite and offsite activities
Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
Promote and sell the services and concessions within the Hotel as well as services offered by suppliers
Assist guest with dining reservations and handling group and special occasions dining needs
Provide personalized and specialized service to VIP guests of the Hotel through pre-arrival emails, communication and follow up throughout stay and post-departure
Act as a liaison and resource for other departments and employees of the Hotel
Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
Assisting with the care and supervision of the Jasper Park Lodge’s Canine Ambassador
Constantly be aware of daily functions and promotions in the hotel
Following all safety and sanitation policies
Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
Assist with VIP Concierge duties which include corresponding with guests by phone and email prior to arrival in a professional and timely manner
Assisting guests with dining, BBQ orders, flower requests, cabin stock requests, activity bookings, spa and transportation inquiries
Meet and greet with all arriving Concierge Guests, provide hotel orientation and escort guests to room
Remain in regular contact with guests in house to ensure a seamless, personalized, enjoyable, and comfortable stay
Surprise and delight at every opportunity and work with other departments to expedite requests
Contact arriving elite ALL members (Gold / Platinum/ Diamond / Limitless) prior to arrival.
Personalize pre – arrival email, review and action preferences from ACDC, review room blocking, and ensure all earned privileges are extended consistently

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

1 year of previous customer related experience preferred
Excellent knowledge of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, the town of Jasper, and local attractions preferred
Previous experience with Property Manager and, Open Table and Kipsu text messaging system an asset
Pro Serve certification an asset
Valid Alberta driver’s license and Abstract required
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable, self-starter and goal oriented
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
