MD Packaging Inc., a Tessera Group Company, is a 100% Canadian company. As experts in the packaging field, we work very closely with customers to provide turnkey solutions and high-level integration services during and after installation. With an in-house parts, service department, and factory-trained technicians, we help Canadians get the most out of their packaging lines.

We are looking to expand our reaching in Western Canada and are seeking an experienced, driven Independent Sales Agent to represent our OEM/partner product lines in the region. This role will focus primarily on our partnership with Markem Imaje, a global leader in innovative product identification, packaging intelligence, and connected product solutions.

The Opportunity:

As a Western Canada Sales Agent, you will act as a key representative of our OEM/partner brands, responsible for developing new business and growing existing accounts across the region. This is a commission-based independent contractor role with significant earning potential tied to performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a regional sales strategy for Western Canada
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, end users, and key stakeholders
Promote and represent the OEM/partner product lines with professionalism and technical understanding
Conduct sales meetings, product presentations, and site visits
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, leadership) to support customer needs
Provide market feedback, competitor insights, and sales forecasts
Represent the company at trade shows and industry events (as required)
Qualifications:

Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or OEM-related sectors
Strong network within Western Canada (asset)
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Technical aptitude or experience selling engineered/industrial products
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region, including Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Some travel to the USA for training may be required.
