Job Overview
We are seeking motivated Skilled Carpentry Apprentices and Laborers to join our dynamic team. ICT builds, maintains, and inspects cooling towers across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, B.C., and throughout Canada. We are looking for hard-working, reliable Skilled Carpentry Apprentices and Laborers to join our expanding construction team.

Project based across Alberta, and travel is required as part of the role.

Duties

Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Follow all company safety practices, policies, and procedures
Load, unload, and organize construction materials and waste
Manage material inventory
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Measure and cut materials accurately
Work under and learn from experienced tradespeople and supervisors
Assist carpenters and cooling tower technicians
Lead and maintain housekeeping on job sites
Take direction well and work independently when required
Participate in daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings
Understand and work with construction materials, tools, and equipment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements

Must be able to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing
Must be able to work at heights
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
Industrial construction experience
Safety certifications such as:
CSTS
Fall Protection
Confined Space Entry
H2S Alive
Elevated Work Platform
Strong commitment to safety
Team-oriented, dependable, and willing to learn
Good spatial recognition skills
Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment
Strong problem‑solving and task‑prioritization abilities
Ability to perform daily physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Able and willing to travel and remain out of town for extended periods
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
