Operational Support in High‑Demand Settings

ACPs are supported with appropriate staffing models, medical oversight, modern equipment, and structured orientation programs. You are not expected to compensate for systemic gaps.
Meaningful Scope of Practice

Our environments depend on ACP‑level care. Long transport times, limited immediate physician access, and complex patient presentations mean ACPs are trusted clinicians with increased autonomy.

Typical Schedules (varies by role/location):

Full time: 2–3 weeks on / 2–3 weeks off
Part time is 2-3 weeks on / 6-9 weeks off
Grande Prairie and Peace River Flight Division offer 12-hour shifts
Compensation & Allowances:

Daily compensation for air ambulance division starting at: $636.09 per day
Daily compensation for clinic division starting at:$719.50 per day
Additional incentives include:

Travel allowance provided to and from base
Accommodations provided while on duty
Crew vehicle available during some assignments
Qualifications & Requirements

Current Advanced Care Paramedic registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics, or eligibility to obtain Alberta licensure
Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Valid Alberta Class 4 driver’s licence or provincial equivalent
3-year clean driver’s abstract
Clean criminal record with vulnerable sector check
Current immunization record
