Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Evening

Salary: $18.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Other Benefits

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Jasper, Alberta (1 vacancy) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Certification with provincial or territorial authorities
Experience: Experience an asset

Work Setting: Grocery store, Supermarket and meat department
Type of Equipment: Power grinder, Band saw, Sausage machine, Manual cutting utensil
Specific Skills: Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat, Remove bones from meat, Cut poultry into parts, Clean and prepare fish and shellfish, Cut fish into steaks and fillets, Grind meats, Make special sausages, Prepare special orders, Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products, Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
Additional Skills: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, Wrap and package prepared meats, Weigh meats for sale, Price meat products, Sell meats to customers
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads
Essential Skills: Reading text, Communication, Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning


Other Information:Some staff Accommodation Available. Applicants must have experience in a meat cutting and familiar with meat cutting standards.
