Compensation:
The wage for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hour DOE + retention bonus for contract completion
Room and board.
Complimentary single dorm room and daily staff dinner meal included (this is a taxable benefit – it is subject to tax) on location at the Maligne Lake staff camp and while the staff camp dinner program is in operation
Term: July 24/23 - October 27/23 (with the possibility of extension through the winter if the successful candidate is interested in year-round employment)

What will you do in this job?:
The facilities maintenance admin/helper role provides for the ongoing parts management of our boat and heavy equipment fleet through effective inventory management and supporting documentation for all repairs. Supports seasonal maintenance needs for all Maligne Lake facilities and on-site staff accommodation. This is a dynamic role and will include a mixture of the following:
Assist the fleet maintenance manager and lead mechanic as required in any light duty maintenance assistance with the boat or ground fleet.
Facilities painting needs both interior and exterior
Performing daily maintenance checks as assigned
Supporting general facility cleaning needs as required
Completing general repairs within scope of experience/skill including minor carpentry, plumbing, landscaping and light equipment operations
Picking up supplies, taking recycling to the town depot
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
Previous painting experience is preferred
Previous mechanical familiarity an asset (engine knowledge)
Comfortable using variety of hand and power tools
Some general light maintenance and repair skills are preferred
Class 5 driver’s license (unrestricted), required
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of manual duties, required, which may include working at heights, use of manual and power tools
Organizational and time management skills
Internally motivated with a consistently high level of energy
High attention to detail and safety focused
Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail)
Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards
