What will be your daily pursuit?:
You will lead a team in the creation of flavorful pastries, desserts, and baked goods that delight and energize our guests. With a focus on local, fresh ingredients, you’ll bring the spirit and taste of the region to every bite—fueling unforgettable adventures.
When does this adventure begin?:
This is a full-time, regular position beginning November 2025.

What will you do in this job?:
Key Responsibilities
Overall management of Commissary Pastry Kitchen
Scheduling
Menu Costing
Menu Development
Training
Order adequate supplies to support efficient production schedule.
Kitchen & Team Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Commissary Pastry Kitchen.
Lead and support team scheduling, training, and performance management.
Implement and maintain in-house training programs to support pastry team development.
Ensure safe, efficient, and responsible use of all kitchen equipment.
Production Planning & Execution
Plan monthly, weekly, and daily pastry production schedule and par levels based on order volumes from the Banff Jasper Collection (BJC) outlets.
Demonstrate experience with similar high-volume programs and the ability to scale production for new locations or seasonal lines of business.
Maintain FIFO inventory practices, correct labeling, and proper dating of all items.
Procurement & Inventory Control
Order adequate ingredients and supplies to meet production needs while controlling costs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
Support the team in cleaning and maintaining all equipment and utensils.
Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards according to OH&S
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
10+ years of pastry production experience, preferably in a high-volume commissary or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of baking and pastry techniques, trends, and ingredients.
Proven leadership skills and a collaborative, positive attitude.
Food Safe certification is an asset.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
