Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Public Relations Manager to lead the execution of PR initiatives that elevate brand awareness, drive demand, and support revenue generation. Working under the leadership of the Regional Director of Public Relations and the resort’s Director of Sales & Marketing, this role serves as a professional and exemplary brand ambassador, bringing the property’s stories to life through impactful media, influencer, and content-driven opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing :

PR Strategy & Execution

Lead the execution of aligned PR strategies, working in partnership with the Regional Director of PR and the Director of Sales & Marketing to support brand positioning and revenue goals.
Identify and execute strategic media, influencer, and partnership opportunities that elevate the resort’s visibility across key markets
Leverage existing media relationships while cultivating new contacts within Canadian, US, and international travel and lifestyle networks
Attend key media marketplaces and industry events as required
Media & Influencer Relations

Coordinate individual and group travel media familiarization trips
Host key travel media and influencers on property, including evenings and weekends as required
Oversee influencer collaborations, including vetting, setting KPIs, and managing follow-up in alignment with resort objectives
Support content creator collaborations in partnership with the Marketing team to ensure cohesive storytelling
Content, Storytelling & Amplification

Develop and distribute press releases, story pitches, and media materials aligned with the resort’s repositioning strategy and evolving brand narrative
Provide PR amplification for on-property activations, culinary programming, and seasonal campaigns
Support internal communications and storytelling initiatives as required
Update and maintain the resort press kit, pressroom, and story starters, ensuring alignment with corporate and agency partners
Brand Reputation & Crisis Communications

Act as a spokesperson for the resort and as a key member of the crisis management team
Manage media inquiries and interview requests, including development of key messaging and spokesperson preparation
Monitor and support online reputation management in alignment with brand standards
Coordination, Reporting & Alignment

Coordinate on-site photo and film shoots in collaboration with Marketing and external partners
Collaborate with the regional PR team to maintain an up-to-date centralized media database
Maintain and update the regional media calendar on a weekly basis
Prepare monthly, mid-year, and annual PR reports for the executive team and corporate office
Pursue key industry awards and execute nominations aligned with brand strategy
Support additional initiatives as required in coordination with the Director of Sales & Marketing

Qualifications
3-5 years’ public relations and communications experience in the luxury hotel sector preferred
Established database of Canadian, USA and international travel media & influencer contacts
Strong written communication skills
Crisis communications and online reputation management experience required
Experience utilizing CisionOne or other media monitoring and distribution platforms
Builds strong partnerships across the business in order to collaborate effectively
Acts as a positive ambassador for team and corporate culture, fostering collaboration, trust, and mutual respect
Experience with influencer analysis tools, like Klear
Ability to prioritize numerous projects with competing deadlines
Articulate, professional, and mature; a self-motivated, energetic, and collaborative team-player
Highly responsible, reliable, and accountable, with strong attention to detail
University/College degree in a related discipline an asset

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
