What You’ll Do

As a Service Technician, you’ll support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of communication systems that power Alberta’s industries. Working alongside experienced team members, you’ll learn to:

Install and service communication and electronic equipment on vehicles and in field environments
Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and programming of radio equipment
Perform radio diagnostics and programming
Provide customer service and troubleshooting support in person and over the phone
Work with conventional, trunking, and P25 radio systems
Use electrical schematics, hand tools, and test equipment safely and effectively
Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning
What You Bring

Strong problem-solving, mechanical, and electronic aptitude electronic aptitude)
Experience using hand tools and power tools
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
A focus on safety and reliability
An interest in electronics, technology, or communications
Education or hands-on experience in a related field is an asset but not required

Requirements

Valid Class 5 Canadian Driver’s License with a clean record (past 5 years)
Able to provide a criminal record check
Able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing as required for site access
A 2-year Electronics Engineering Technology diploma or related education is an asset, but not required
