The Position Will...

Organize and distribute documents, receipts, and records received from units to relevant Head Office department
Act in the capacity of receptionist; answer incoming calls, mail responsibilities (receive, distribute, and send internal and external documents and material), organize documentation, manage the on-site kitchen, order and organize office supplies, etc.
Verify information for and prepare documentation for AP/AR processing including preparing PO's and bank deposits
Manage annual business license renewals and assist with new business licenses as needed
Close monthly unit inventories and complete roll-over processes
Prepare and assist with entering Head Office adjustments, Unit transfers, etc.
Help prepare and issue documents related to accounts which can include bills, invoices, and other financial statements
Assist AP with excess entry and prepare cheques; verify the accuracy of accounting records and invoices
Verify receivable transactions, assist with ensuring timely application of payments of accounts
Act as the point-of-contact for District Managers and Unit Managers to respond to inquiries about and resolve problems or direct them to the correct point-of-contact
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The competencies and qualifications needed...

Must hold a valid work permit
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
College degree in Business or Accounting
3 years of experience in a multi-unit, Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeping role
Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skill with a proven ability to work under pressure
Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks quickly
Maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
