Schedule:
3 Front Desk shifts (day/evening)
2 Night Audit shifts (overnight)

Wage:
$17/hour – Front Desk shifts
$18/hour – Night Audit shifts

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor to join our team at our seasonal hotel in the Canadian Rockies. This hybrid role combines guest-facing front desk service with overnight night audit responsibilities and plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience and accurate daily reporting.

As a key member of the guest services team, you will be the first point of contact for guests during front desk shifts and the sole overnight representative of the hotel during night audit shifts. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Responsibilities (3 Shifts/Week)

Greet guests and provide a warm, welcoming first impression
Check guests in and out and process payments
Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries
Make and modify reservations
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally
Update guest accounts and records
Book tours and coordinate with other departments
Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing and data entry
Night Audit Responsibilities (2 Shifts/Week)

Complete night reconciliation of all revenue-based transactions
Reconcile non-cash transactions for all departments
Cross-reference till tapes and balance daily cash-outs
Enter data into required reports (labour, category, maintenance, cabin, etc.)
Process refunds, adjustments, and over/short discrepancies
Troubleshoot basic Excel formulas and data entry issues
Notify supervisors of discrepancies or concerns
Guest Service & Operations (All Shifts)

Respond to guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
Cross-sell and promote hotel, restaurant, and retail offerings
Assist tour directors and bus drivers with high-service retail purchases
Security & Overnight Duties (Night Audit Shifts)

Ensure the main lodge is secured and cleared of staff
Conduct perimeter and security checks
Monitor staff accommodation areas overnight
Work independently without supervision
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1–2 years of customer service or hospitality experience (night audit experience is an asset)
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with computers, data entry, and Microsoft Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and handle guest issues professionally
Must be available for both daytime/evening and overnight shifts

Compensation & Benefits

Wages: $17/hour (Front Desk) · $18/hour (Night Audit) plus bonuses
Staff Accommodation: Available for employees 18+ at $4.41 per day
Completion Bonus: $1 bonus for every hour worked upon contract completion, plus an additional bonus covering the cost of rent
Referral Bonus: $500 if both your contract and your referral’s contract are completed
