Full job description
Position Summary

The Breakfast Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes in a fast-paced hotel kitchen. This role requires strong organization, efficiency, and consistency while maintaining food safety and presentation standards during peak morning service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and execute breakfast and lunch menu items including eggs, proteins, starches, and baked items
Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation according to established standards
Set up and break down the breakfast line efficiently for service
Work cleanly and safely, adhering to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Monitor prep levels and communicate prep needs to the kitchen team
Assist with prep work such as chopping, portioning, and basic baking as required
Maintain a clean and organized work station throughout service
Collaborate effectively with the culinary team to ensure smooth service flow
Minimize waste and follow proper storage and labelling procedures
Qualifications

Previous experience as a line cook or breakfast cook preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
Strong understanding of breakfast cookery, including egg cookery and time management
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Team oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Passion for the food industry and eagerness to learn new culinary skills
