Job Description

Revenue Manager (Onsite at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge)

On property role in Jasper supporting Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and Chateau Whistler Resort, the Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue and profitability.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director Revenue Management, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:


Support Jasper Park Lodge in Revenue Management decisions and ensure communication with the RM Team
Assist Jasper Park Lodge in Revenue Management projects, such as Restaurant RM & Spa RM
Co-facilitate weekly RevMax (RevUP) meetings with the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge team
Generate Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports for all properties as needed
Daily Monitoring of OTAs to avoid rate parity issues for all properties
Review and address Best Rate Guarantee (BRG) notifications
Review and adjust all rate code set ups for Corporate Campaigns for all hotels
Liaise with Revenue Managers at CWR and BSH for regional consistency
Monitor any changes in inventory for the properties and provide guidance on the impact on the current strategies.
Maximize room revenue contribution with a thorough understanding of all booking channels and management of inventory and rates therein.
Continuous analysis of changing channel distribution models and the impact on consumer booking trends.
Contribute to the set up and launching of new distribution channels in conjunction with GRC, so the region may be a leader in new OTA opportunities
Work with RM Team to determine effective and engaging rate offers or packages which are then distributed through the proper channels
Support DRM, Tour during peak contracting season with reporting and presentations
Maintaining an open and efficient flow of information to and from all operating departments within the hotels
Support the CWMR Region in Revenue Management projects/tasks and coverage with annual vacations
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous leadership experience in hospitality is required
Previous revenue management experience is an asset
Strategic thinking combined with the proven ability to move strategy to action are foremost attributes
Comfortable in discussion forums; able to represent ideas succinctly and convincingly.
Proven experience in analysis and problem solving required.
Team building skills and proven track record is essential.
Self-study and independent work ethics are required.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints is crucial to the success of this individual.
Strong experience or adaptable training in the use of automated systems e.g. Opera PMS/ORS, Excel, Word, IDEAS G3, Avero, etc.
