Summary

The Nursery Attendant works as part of the Nursery Team. They are responsible for the overall safety and care of up to 30 children from aged 19 months to 6 years. They must help to meet each child’s individual needs in an enjoyable and safe environment whilst ensuring good communication with parents.

This is a full time or part time, seasonal role running from Nov through May. Please note that you may not receive full hours at the beginning/end of season and during other slow periods.

Job Requirements
Minimum 18 years old
Valid First-Aid (preferably Child Care)
Clean and valid Vulnerable Sector check
Must have a valid working Visa (to work with children)
Job Duties
Keep the nursery clean and organized
Ensure reservations are confirmed
Recognize and cater to each individual child’s needs
Care for children with specialized and complex needs
Provide first aid as required
Be familiar with nursery programs to ensure communication and understanding to the parents
Demonstrate cooperation and coordination with other staff members and departments
Ensure lunch time, quiet time and other scheduling needs are fulfilled
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times
Assist in processing and collection of payments as well as daily reporting and cash-outs
Maintaining inventory/supplies (inform Nursery Supervisor when low on particular materials)
Adherence to the company’s policies and procedures as set in the “Employee Handbook” and “Nursery Training Manual”
All Marmot Basin employees will conduct themselves in compliance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation as it relates to their job
Understand and adhere to Ski Marmot Basin’s “Harassment Policy” and the company’s “Privacy Policy”.
