Are you looking for a new opportunity? Would you like to work in the beautiful community of Jasper? PWTransit is currently expanding services and will be operating in the community of Jasper starting in September 2023. We are currently seeking a full-time Driver Supervisor to join our team for early August.

The Driver Supervisor is a hands-on position that requires a strong knowledge of transportation and the area of Jasper; perfect for an experienced and dedicated bus/ride-share/shuttle industry professional. The primary responsibility is leading and mentoring a team of Shuttle Drivers while also providing timely support and communication to our clients and passengers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support to and supervise drivers
Ensure adequate daily coverage of shuttle services and monitor driver shift reporting
Maintain regular communication with the town and PWTransit management regarding service as/when required
Professionally deal with public, customer and staff inquiries and find diplomatic solutions for concerns
Ensure operating procedures are adhered to
Verify compliance (and correct staff if required) with statutes and regulations
Dispatch and make temporary changes to driver shifts and vehicle assignments as required
Initiate emergency assistance procedures in the event of vehicle collisions or passenger injuries and initiate associated formal incident investigations
Ensure that incident/collision reports are completed when required
Ensure all required paperwork/requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Offer suggestions to improve existing operation processes
Effectively deal with driver performance issues, and/or forward concerns to management as required
Operate the shuttle bus to assist with any coverage required
Requirements:

Valid Class 1 or 2Q driver’s license
Clear driver's abstract
Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
Negative drug and alcohol testing
Previous bus/ride-share/taxi/shuttle operations and supervisory experience
Experience in the public transit industry an asset
Previous training experience
Previous safety and COR audit experience an asset
Previous experience with employee supervision, performance management and managing discipline a considerable asset
Knowledge of WCB and labour laws
Familiarity with Jasper roadways and geography
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational planning, multitasking and problem-solving skills
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to work with smartphone apps
