Conducts highway/road clearing and snow removal using medium and heavy vehicles (Wheel loader, grader, skid steer) and equipment requiring a Class 1 license with air brake endorsement; operates/controls multiple blades and salting mechanisms; and performs a variety of highway/road maintenance tasks for the Parks Canada Agency. Knowledge of safety measures and regulations common to highway maintenance. ABILITIES Ability to operate heavy trucks up to GVW 60,000 pounds Ability to visually inspect equipment and perform pre and post trip maintenance Ability to assess and report on road, visibility, and weather conditions.
