Duties
Parks Canada seeks an exceptional individual to occupy the role of Plumber Gas Fitter Supervisor at the Jasper Field Unit. This position will offer supervisory and technical guidance in plumbing and gas fitting undertakings for assets located in Jasper National Park and Fort St. James National Historic Site, comprising a mixture of modern and historic structures, recreational facilities, public utilities, and petroleum storage tanks. The successful candidate will oversee a small team of plumbers and actively participate in plumbing and gas fitting operations, while also performing the following key responsibilities:

Contribute to the creation of work plans for maintenance and repairs
Ensure work orders are completed efficiently and effectively
Efficiently manage human and financial resources
Identify issues and develop practical and cost-effective solutions
Offer technical advice to teams and colleagues
Maintain effective communication and coordination with internal stakeholders
Ensure team members are properly trained, equipped with necessary tools, and provided with appropriate PPE to carry out plumbing and gas fitting activities safely
Ensure all repairs adhere to the current National Building Code standards

Parcs Canada cherche une personne de talent qui remplira le rôle de superviseur/superviseure des plombiers-monteurs d’installations au gaz au sein de l’Unité de gestion de Jasper. Les fonctions liées au poste consistent à fournir un encadrement technique et des conseils dans le cadre de projets qui visent des biens nécessitant des travaux de plomberie ou de montage des installations de gaz et qui se trouvent dans le parc national Jasper ou au lieu historique national du Fort-St. James; il peut s’agir de structures historiques ou contemporaines, d’installations récréatives, d’installations de services publics ou de réservoirs de stockage de pétrole. La personne retenue supervisera une petite équipe de plombiers et participera activement aux travaux de plomberie et de montage des installations au gaz. Ses fonctions principales consisteront à :

contribuer à la création des plans de travail pour les travaux de maintenance et de réparation;
veiller à l’exécution efficace et effective des ordres de travail;
gérer efficacement les ressources humaines et financières;
cerner les problèmes et trouver des solutions pratiques et économiques;
fournir des conseils techniques aux équipes et aux collègues;
assurer une communication et une coordination efficaces avec les intervenants internes;
veiller à ce que les membres de l’équipe reçoivent la formation, les outils et l’équipement de protection individuelle nécessaires pour exécuter les travaux de plomberie et de montage des installations au gaz en toute sécurité;
veiller à la conformité des réparations aux normes du Code national du bâtiment en vigueur.
