What will be your daily pursuit?:
Your daily pursuit is creating a welcoming environment for guests by providing a seamless, safe, and enjoyable experience.
What will your compensation be?:
The starting salary for this position is $18.00 per hour.
When does this adventure begin?:
This is a ful-time seasonal position beginning immediately and running until October 19, 2025.

What will you do in this job?:
Provide an exceptional hospitality-focused informational and sales interaction with guests visiting Pyramid Lake
Be current and up to date on all Pursuit attractions, products and promotions along with our other services/experiences provided on site
Provide information and answer questions about general knowledge of the Jasper area
Coordinate guest equipment rentals, i.e. canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, motor boats, and bikes.
Cleary communicate safe boating and equipment policies via a guest ‘Safety Talk’.
Ensure that rental boat agreements and releases are thoroughly understood, completed correctly, properly filed and adhered to
Ensure all safety equipment is included in every boat rental (i.e. bailer, rope and paddle).
Monitor guest activities on Pyramid Lake to ensure safety compliance.
Maintain proper inventory of all boats, bikes and safety equipment throughout the day.
Keep all rentals (i.e. life vests, oars and paddles) clean and in good working condition.
Report any damages or wear and tear of boats and bikes to the Maintenance Team.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness of the boat house, beach, lawn and dock.
Assist in retrieving capsized boats and support Parks Canada with recovery efforts if requested.
This position acts as a ‘floater’ providing additional support and assistance to:
The Front Desk; answering and directing telephone calls, assisting with arrivals and departures, and the resolution of minor guest complaints.
Housekeeping: occasional cleaning, delivery of room drops, and baggage handling.
Maintenance: watering plants, lawn mowing, weeds removal and cleaning public areas, hot tubs, and washrooms.
Other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Pleasure Craft Operator Card is a requirement, boating experience is preferred. (Pursuit will cover Pleasure Craft training costs).
Excellent Customer Service skills with a solid understanding of guest service principles.
Physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. (i.e. boats, kayaks and canoes).
Motivated to work independently and as a member of a team.
Able to effectively multitask; must be organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to adapt and accept direction in a dynamic environment with changing demands.
First Aid certificate and lifeguard certificate is an asset
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepare for all season weather (snow, rain, wind, hail, sun)
Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards
