Intermediate Civil Structural Designer

Take ownership of civil & structural design deliverables and grow into a lead role.

Location: Surrey, BC (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Reports To: Discipline Lead

Hycroft is looking for an Intermediate Civil Structural Designer who can work independently on multi-project deliverables and mentor junior staff while producing high-quality civil & structural design drawings.

About the Role

As an Intermediate Civil Structural Designer, you will independently produce structural steel and concrete drawings, foundation plans, civil site plans, and grading drawings on multiple concurrent projects. You will coordinate with engineers, mentor junior designers, and contribute to CAD standards and best practices.

This is a hybrid role based in Surrey, BC.

What You'll Do

Independently produce structural steel and concrete drawings, foundation plans, civil site plans, and grading drawings on multiple concurrent projects
Apply advanced AutoCAD, Revit Structure, or similar skills to complex design challenges
Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines on integrated designs
Mentor junior designers and review their work
Contribute to development of CAD standards, templates, and procedures
Support estimating and proposal efforts with drawing samples and quantities
Conduct site visits to verify field conditions and gather as-built data
What You Bring

Diploma or certificate in CAD design, drafting, or related technical program
5–10 years of civil & structural design design experience
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, or similar
Solid knowledge of structural steel, concrete, and civil works drawings
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables independently
Authorized to work in Canada
Nice to Have

Industrial sector background
Experience with Revit, 3D modelling, or BIM workflows
A.Sc.T. designation
