Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for casual, local, and travel assignments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care across various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living, and home care environments. This role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate nursing services in diverse clinical settings, supporting patients of all ages with a variety of healthcare needs. The position requires adaptability, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses.
Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, wound care, and pain management.
Document patient information accurately using electronic health records systems like Epic and Cerner.
Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and health education.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Support patients with dementia, senior care, hospice needs, pediatrics, or other specialized populations as required.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Requirements

Valid LPN license with CLHA
Prior experience in nursing home, hospital, acute care, or home health settings preferred. MIN 2 YRS EXPERIENCE IN ALBERTA
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and clinical procedures.
Experience with electronic health records systems such as Epic, PCC, Cerner is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently in various environments including assisted living facilities and hospice care settings.
Strong communication skills and compassionate patient care approach.
Flexibility to work local assignments or travel as needed for different healthcare facilities.
Certification in phlebotomy or laboratory experience is a plus.
Experience working with diverse populations including children, seniors, or patients requiring specialized care such as dementia or pain management is advantageous. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while expanding your clinical expertise across multiple healthcare environments.
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
