Food & Beverage Supervisor

Reports To
Food & Beverage Manager

Position Overview
The Food and Beverage Supervisor assists the Manager in the daily operation of the department, including training and coaching new staff and ensuring all food and beverage policies, as well as Marmot Basin procedures, are followed and upheld. This role plays a key part in maintaining service standards, operational efficiency, and a positive guest experience across all food and beverage outlets.

This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on supporting both staff development and day-to-day operational excellence in a high-volume resort environment. This is a full-time seasonal role. Alberta Employment Standards regarding probationary periods apply.

Qualifications
3–5 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage operations
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform hourly job functions when required
Ability to perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to drive quality and performance
Ability to ski or snowboard in varying conditions (considered an asset for resort access and movement between operational areas)

Job Duties / Responsibilities
Understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in their absence when required
Monitor and maintain employee productivity levels and operational efficiency
Lead by example and serve as a positive role model for all team members
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across cafeterias, restaurants, and special events, including banquets
Supervise staff and ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded
Maintain cleanliness of food and beverage areas and ensure exemplary food hygiene practices are followed
Assist with training, coaching, and ongoing development of staff
Support inventory management, including oversight of receiving, unpacking, and storage of weekly orders, ensuring organized and clean storage areas
Address customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally, resolving matters in an effective and timely manner
Oversee food storage and dining areas to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and health codes
Complete daily billing and financial responsibilities accurately and efficiently
Perform additional duties as required

Additional
Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times and proactively identify and report any safety concerns that could impact staff or guests
Maintain strong awareness of personal and team safety when operating in storage, loading, and delivery environments
