Assistant Restaurant Manager / Cocktail Bartenders / Events Managers

The Downstream in Jasper, Alberta is looking for up and coming, forward-thinking Service Managers and Mixologists who are passionate about People, F&B and living the mountain life.

The ideal candidates for this position will be natural leaders who always have a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. A person who is ready to take the next big step in their career and live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

These positions will be responsible for assigning work in the Front House, delivering meals for our diners, training staff, inventory management and partnering with the Chef to guide the kitchen team to create new dishes to add to our amazing menu.

Duties

-Steward members of the service team and lead by example

-Maintain the highest level of competency and quality

-Foster a collaborative environment that inspires passion and solidarity

-Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the restaurant

-Manage Service staff and delegate tasks related to Table service, cleanliness, protocols and encourage a positive work environment.

-Monitor Beverage and labour costs

-Keep up with industry trends and create new recipes in collaboration with the Bartenders

Qualifications

-Alberta Food Safe

-2+ years’ experience as a Shift Leader or Supervisor in a full-service restaurant

-2+ Additional years’ experience in a service role

-Excellent communication and organization skills

-Able to work in a fast-paced environment

-Honesty and Dedication to quality

-Strong knowledge of proper restaurant etiquette and sanitation standards

-A love for living a lifestyle that can only be found in the mountains of Jasper National Park
