AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Utility/Water Treatment Technicians (Level III or IV) for an upcoming temporary assignment in Alberta. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 6 days per week when assigned to a project.

You will earn:

$55 before overtime
$30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)
Flight provided (when required)
Certifications:

Hold a valid Level III or Level IV Water Treatment certificate
Must have a valid Class 5 or G drivers license.
Duties, Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to operate machines, mobile equipment and tools used in municipal Water Treatment Facilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Manage and optimize plant performances , react to abnormalities including turbidity, mono-chloramines, chlorine etc.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints & drawings
Strong mathematical skills related to calculations for volume, flow, velocity, chemical dosage, consumption etc.
Comfortable working in confined spaces, and handling hazardous chemicals
Ability to provide technician guidance on assignments.
Collaborate with other departments
Provide assistance to rural water treatment facilities by remote system monitoring.
Minimum 3 years experience
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
