GENERAL: 
At Mountain Park Lodges, we are committed to providing for the safety and comfort of our guests. The Gardener is responsible to ensure quality landscaping of all Company properties, which created a lasting positive impression to our guests. The ideal candidate for this role must be self-motivated, hardworking and detail oriented.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•	Cultivates and cares for trees, plants, shrubs, and lawns and installs floral displays in outdoor settings.
•	Assists with planting throughout season.
•	Responsible for watering, fertilizing, pruning, general clean up, weeding, grooming, mowing, etc. to maintain superior landscape appearance at all times.
•	Performs sprinkler system repair, maintenance and troubleshooting.
•	Advise Supervisor of any landscaping problems and/or potential problems.
•	Assist with other landscaping projects as required.
•	Responsible for clean-up of all lawns, gardens, work sheds etc. at season end and ensures appropriate winter preparations are completed.
•	Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.
•	Assist with other related Company duties outside of department. Primarily in Housekeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
•	Knowledge in the care and maintenance of trees, plants, shrubs and lawns.
•	Knowledge of gardening methods and tools, herbicide and insecticide applicants and irrigation systems.
•	Basic knowledge of Gardening and Landscaping tools and their uses.
•	Basic mechanical abilities.
•	Good health and physical condition.
•	Ability to accept direction.
•	Ability to work with minimal supervision.
•	Neat in appearance.
•	Good communication skills.
•	Must hold valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license.
•	Must be able to work as a Team Member in the organization.
