Description 
The position:
The Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre Jasper is currently accepting applications for the role of Food & Beverage Server.  Reporting to the Service Leader, the Food and Beverage Servers request orders from and serve food and beverages to guests. They are familiar and knowledgeable of service techniques and are able to work effectively and unobtrusively around guests.
The Food & Beverage Servers provide genuine hospitality to our guests by delivering quality food and beverages in an efficient and consistent manner, while maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude and a SMILE.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Request orders from and serve food and beverages to guests using the Sawridge Suggestive Selling techniques
Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the service area
Perform opening/closing and side duties as per the shift checklist
Promoting a "No Problem Service" environment
be energetic and enthusiastic; enjoy customer service and working with the public
be knowledgeable about the food and spirits menus
responsibly serve alcohol utilizing skills and knowledge received from the Proserve training
maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and the cleanliness of the bar
perform duties in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with established company policies
perform well under pressure in a fast paced and sometimes challenging environment
be accurate with cash and product handling
 
Position Requirements 
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proserve (responsible service of alcohol) certification (can be obtained online) before start of employment
Must speak fluent English, additional language an asset
Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills
2 – 4 years serving experience, some of it in a fine dining setting
Desire and ability to increase knowledge in the Food & Beverage and Customer Service field
Ability to handle money
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
