Job Offer – Lead Mechanic / Bicycle Technician

Employer: Mud, Sweat and Gears Ltd.

Work location: Vicious Cycle and Snow Jasper

Position Title: Lead Mechanic

NOC Code: 73209 – Other Repairers and Servicers

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Expected Start Date: Upon approval of work authorization

Job Duties

The Lead Mechanic will:

Repair and maintain bicycles and related equipment
Performing full bicycle overhauls, including drivetrain, brake, and component
servicing
Building, truing, and tensioning bicycle wheels
Installing frame protection and bicycle accessories
Performing hydraulic brake bleeding and adjustments
Maintaining and servicing the shop’s rental fleet
Assist and mentor junior technicians
Organize workshop workflow and ensure efficient operations
Provide technical advice and customer service
Maintain safety standards in the workshop
Perform other duties consistent with NOC 73209
Wage and Hours

Offered Wage: $26.00/hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Paid according to Alberta Employment Standards
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in bicycle repair and maintenance●
Must have experience with BRM (Bicycle Rental Manager) and Lightspeed
Must be able to build and true wheels, install frame protection, bleed hydraulic
brakes, and perform complete bicycle overhauls.
Ability to work independently and supervise small tasks/projects
Preference will be given to bilingual applicants; however, all qualified candidates are
encouraged to apply.
Language of Work: English
Driver’s license considered an asset
