Would you like to spend your summer in one of the most beautiful places in all of Canada? Reporting to the Manager of HI Jasper National Park Wilderness Properties, the Wilderness Hostel Manager at HI Mount Edith Cavell lives on-site and is responsible for delivering the complete hostel experience in accordance with Hostelling International policies, procedures and mission.

Backed by the towering Mount Edith Cavell, this spot is a favourite for hikers, cyclists and even cross-country skiers. The unique location of the hostel gives guests easy access to the breathtaking views of Angel Glacier and Cavell Meadows. Many backcountry adventurists use it as a base to explore the backcountry trails of the Tonquin Valley.

Embrace new challenges:

The Wilderness Hostel Manager is the only staff at the hostel and is responsible for opening and closing of the hostel
Cash control, as well as meeting service and financial targets.
Ensuring that the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the Hostel are kept up to standards
You check them in and out, offer them your expert advice and, like any good host, make sure their stay is an enjoyable one!
We want YOU if you have:

An understanding of all aspects of customer service
Ability to remain composed during high pressure situations
Be comfortable working alone
Strong organization and communication skills
Previous hostelling experience and/or experience in the tourism, service, or hospitality industry
Working with US will include:

A temporary position, available mid-June - mid-October 2021
The salary is $2600.00/month
Housing provided onsite for free!
An annual 6% vacation entitlement, paid on each bi-weekly pay
