Responsibilities

~Manager on duty when the General Manager is off-site

~Responsible for directing the operations of the Front Office, Housekeeping and Maintenance Departments

~Daily commitment to improving guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the operation

~Creates and encourages an employee environment that focuses on motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and a passion for providing service. Champion effective communication across departments.

~Support the General Manager with revenue/yield management and managing the OTA platforms

~Assist General Manager in attending to guest issues, complaints and feedback

~Assist departments with their daily duties as required, in order to achieve standards, productivity and guest satisfaction goals

~Prepare weekly financial reporting across departments

~Ensure compliance with financial procedures, cash handling, audits and reconciliation

~Maintain (and update, as needed) departmental policies, service procedures and standards

~Oversee the recruitment / training / appraisal process and staff accommodation

~Scheduling Staff, ensuring appropriate coverage and monitoring labour / revenue metrics

~Ensuring that all health and safety systems and standards are adhered to, and updating as needed. Champion of the Occupational Health and Safety program

~Responsible for the security of buildings and company assets

~Ensure appropriate supply of materials and equipment across departments

Qualifications

~Minimum 5 years hotel experience with no less than 2 years management experience in a similar role

~Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, hotel management or business is considered an asset.

~Ability to work independently, adaptable, and self-motivated

~Ability & willingness to drive change, challenge the status quo, identify opportunities, synergies, and efficiencies

~Posses a proficient understanding of computer systems, Microsoft suite etc.

Salary: $31.00-$33.00 per hour
