The boathouse attendant role provides our guests with a warm and welcoming opportunity to experience and explore the wonders of Maligne Lake at their own pace of adventure, while ensuring our guests are fully prepared with the safety knowledge and items they need.

What will you do in this job?:
Operate in a retail sales capacity, proactively greeting all guests and prepared with the product and lake area knowledge to effectively promote and sell boat rental experiences
Rent and outfit a fleet of canoes, kayaks and peddle boats, providing safety and operating instructions to guests
Be the first point of contact to resolve any service or product issues that arise
Ensure the boathouse facilities, equipment and dock areas meet all safety and cleanliness requirements
Dispatch and return of all rental vessels
Ensure that rental boat agreements and releases are thoroughly understood, completed correctly, properly filed and adhered to
Complete minor repairs as required to rental boats and equipment, reporting any larger issues to the fleet maintenance dept.
Promote and sell boathouse retail and or confectionary product
Maintain retail and confectionary inventory levels and accounting for all stock items
Sales and cash/credit card handling and balancing and remitting of all payments
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
High attention to detail and good communication skills
Strong customer service skills, proactive listener and empathetic
Class 4 driver's license and first aid training an asset
Work ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key
Willing and able to work solo or as a part of a larger team
Committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
Organized with a great eye for detail
Kind to others and always bring your best
Relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curve balls
