We are seeking staff for the summer season, from June to October for Terracana Ranch Resort.

Please note that Terracana Ranch is located near Valemount, B.C.- about 1 hour from Jasper.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guest Services:

Greet and assist guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Efficiently check guests in and out using the Hotel Reservations Management Software system.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously.
Reservations Management:

Utilize Hotel Reservations Management Software to manage room reservations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Process online and phone reservations and update the system accordingly.
Check email reservations daily.
Monitor room availability and make recommendations to maximize occupancy.
Hotel Management Software Expertise:

Willing to learn in-depth knowledge of the Reservations Management Software to perform tasks such as check-ins, check-outs, and hotel reservation management.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the software.
Stay updated on new features and functionalities of Hotel Reservations Management Software.
Communication:

Effectively communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel staff to ensure seamless operations.
Provide clear and concise information to guests regarding hotel facilities, policies, and local attractions.
Payment Processing:

Process payments, handle cash, and provide accurate receipts.
Maintain a secure and organized cash drawer.
Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve guest issues promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with management to escalate issues when necessary.
Daily Reporting:

Generate and review daily reports from Reservations Management Software to ensure accuracy in billing, occupancy, and other relevant metrics.
Report any discrepancies to the appropriate department.
Resort Operations:

Ensure all public areas, entrances, and grounds are clean, clutter free and safe to properly represent the Resort as well as the INNHotels brand standard.
Assist with other departments and pitch in as needed, such as Housekeeping.
Assist with the planning, ordering, receiving of office supplies.
Adhere strictly to rules regarding health, safety and security.
Assist with food orders and supply orders for the continental breakfast.
Participate in the kitchen and dining room in preparation and delivery of the daily contintental breakfast.
Act as a bartender and/or server in the lounge. Keeping track of inventory of the bar.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Eye for detail and quality.
Customer oriented, welcoming, and friendly.
Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple duties efficiently.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and be an effective member of a team.
Ability to nurture a good working relationship with other departments.
A stickler for health and safety.
An awareness of safety and ability to be calm in the case of an emergency.
Approachable and positive but firm with a huge level of personal integrity that leads by example.
REQUIREMENTS:

1-3 years of previous experience in a Front Desk role is preferred.
Valid Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract are required.
Required to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
Must be computer literate. The preferred candidate will have previous experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of WEB REZ PRO is an asset.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, from weekdays, weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
