Job Overview

Sundog Tours is seeking two full-time Rental Service Supervisors to support Avis rental operations in Jasper, Alberta. The successful candidates will supervise and coordinate rental service operations, Avis sales staff, vehicle rental and return processes, car washer scheduling, vehicle readiness, customer service, and daily kiosk operations.

There are two operational assignments under this posting:

1. Avis Jasper Kiosk Supervisor – $24.00 per hour

The Avis Jasper Kiosk Supervisor will supervise and coordinate Avis sales staff, assign duties to Avis sales workers, prepare work schedules, authorize credit card payments, supervise car rentals and returns, track Avis inventory and merchandise, prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandise, and personnel matters, ensure the image and visual standards of the Avis kiosk are maintained, assist with hiring and training new sales staff and car washers, monitor staff performance, manage escalated complaints, perform key-holding duties, open and close the kiosk when required, and sign for rental car deliveries when required.

2. Car Rental Fleet Operations Supervisor – $25.00 per hour

The Car Rental Fleet Operations Supervisor will coordinate and assist with car washer scheduling, car dispatch, staff scheduling, vehicle readiness, and car maintenance schedules. The position may also perform key-holding and operational duties when required, including opening and closing the kiosk, managing escalated complaints, signing for rental car deliveries, assisting with hiring and training new sales staff and car washers, monitoring staff performance, and reporting performance matters to management.

This position may occasionally require driving company or rental vehicles within the local service area to support rental operations, vehicle returns, vehicle hand-offs, inspections, and other operational needs. Driving duties are incidental to the supervisory role and are not the primary function of the position.

Responsibilities

Supervise rental activities, including reservations, check-ins, and check-outs
Lead and motivate rental staff to achieve sales and service goals
Manage customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette
Coordinate rental schedules and maintain accurate data entry using Microsoft Word and Excel
Oversee maintenance of rental equipment and facilities to ensure safety and quality standards are met
Maintain organizational records, perform administrative tasks, and ensure compliance with company policies
Provide exceptional front desk service, assisting customers with inquiries and processing transactions efficiently
Experience

Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or sales management roles
Strong organizational skills with experience in data entry and administrative tasks
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and basic marketing techniques
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred but not required
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
