Gallery Manager - Mountain Galleries Jasper

About the Job:

We are looking for a high-performing Gallery Manager.

Gallery Manager is responsible for the day to day sales and marketing areas of running the art gallery and will communicate directly with artists and dealers under the direction of the owners/Business Manager. The role of art gallery manager demands a combination of artistic awareness, business acumen, interpersonal skills and practical abilities

The responsibilities include:

Analizes sales data/trends, understands the core gallery business
Top sales performer and sales leader
Giving detailed presentations on proposals and analyzing their effects upon implementation
Motivating and inspiring employees to meet sales targets that match the company’s goals, including opportunity report ,establishing daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets to act as a guideline that enables measurement of individual and group performance
Hiring, training and orienting new hires
Extending the client base
Monthly inventory
Ensure smooth day to day running of the art gallery including logistics scheduling
Managing day to day priorities on time
Working closely with individual artists, developing relationships with new artists, and extending relationships with established artists from the gallery roster
keeping up to date with industry developments and market trends
Requirements and Skills

Previous experience in fine art sales, management and leadership, minimum 5 years
Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
Solution forward thinking
A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of gallery business management including accounting, marketing, sales and HR.
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
