We are accepting applications for a part time to full time veterinarian to join our amazing team in a beautiful location! Jasper is a picture perfect and sophisticated mountain town with unlimited outdoor recreation and a vibrant art & music scene!

Our clinic is well equipped with in-house IDEXX Vetlab station, laser surgery, orthopaedic surgery, digital radiology, ultrasonography, cold laser therapy, dentistry and much more. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated vet with small animal experience (equine would be a bonus!) to join our experienced team of 3 vets, 2 RVTs and complete support staff.

As a veterinarian in our clinic, you will have a critical role in building lasting client relationships, offering compassionate care, and effectively communicating about pet health. Your responsibilities extend beyond medical expertise – you will be a trusted advisor and a comforting presence for pet owners who depend on you in a friendly community.

Responsibilities:
1. Medical Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine to diagnose and treat a wide range of animal health issues. This includes conducting thorough examinations, recommending appropriate tests, performing surgeries, providing vaccinations, and prescribing medications.
2. Client Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with pet owners by demonstrating empathy, actively listening to their concerns, and addressing their questions and needs. Your ability to connect with clients and gain their trust is crucial for providing comprehensive care.
3. Compassionate Care: Exhibit a compassionate approach towards animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their time at the clinic. Show empathy towards owners who may be anxious or concerned about their pet's health, and effectively communicate treatment plans and options.
4. Effective Communication: Clearly communicate medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatment plans to pet owners using simple and understandable language. Actively listen to clients, address their questions and concerns, and provide guidance and advice for pet care and nutrition.
5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with clinic staff, including veterinary technicians and support personnel, to ensure efficient and seamless patient care. Foster a positive and respectful work environment, contributing to a cohesive team that is dedicated to excellent customer service and the well-being of animals.
6. Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education and professional development. Actively pursue opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients.
Qualifications:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex medical information to clients.
Compassionate and empathetic approach towards animals and their owners.
Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
