Overview:

We are currently accepting applications to support multiple projects with our clients.


Rotation: 14/14

Shift: 12 Hours (Days and Nights)

Travel: Project Dependent - Flights via approved travel hubs (where applicable) OR Drive in / Drive out

Lodging: Accommodations provided


Pre-Employment Requirements:


Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug Screening
Successful completion of comprehensive Fitness-to-Work Assessment. This assessment is job-related, focusing on the physical demands and safety sensitive nature of the work, and is conducted in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and the Alberta Human Rights Act. The assessment will cover:
Health History Review: A thorough examination of the candidate’s health background.
Pre-Medical Evaluation: Measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
Musculoskeletal Examination: A head-to-toe assessment to identify any limitations or concerns related to physical health.
Critical Strength and Mobility Test: A series of tasks assessing lifting, carrying, and positional abilities aligned with the job’s physical demands (up to 50 lbs).
Worker to provide:
Valid Safety Training tickets
CSO / BSO / CSTS-09/ OSSA Regional
Intermediate First Aid with CPR & AED
H2S Alive
Bear Awareness (In-Class)
Valid Driver’s License
CSA Approved safety boots - minimum 6" high & fully laceable.
All Morgan Field Based Workers and Equipment Operators must:


Be physically conditioned to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.
Work a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day, for both day or night shifts as required and subject to change depending on project needs.
Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
Be prepared for and willing to perform additional labour duties as / when required.
Embrace the elements by working outdoors in all weather conditions. Whether it's rain, shine, or snow, you'll need to thrive in diverse weather environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:


Reporting to the General Foreman, this role will provide direct oversight of staff working on the jobsite(s) and will ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in full accordance with plans, specifications, scheduling, client’s direction, and good maintenance practices.



The Maintenance Foreman will be able to identify any potential hazards on site and implement the necessary pre-cautionary measures to prevent incidents. This role will require approximately 75% of time in the field, and 25% of time performing safety and maintenance office duties.


Establish and model a culture of making decisions based on achieving and enhancing project profitability, meeting schedules, maintaining customer satisfaction, increasing field productivity and safety and in consideration of constraints and resources.
Participate in safety audits, equipment inspections, incident investigations, personnel conflicts, etc. to provide technical input and demonstrate sound judgement.
Identify and mitigate any potential hazards on-site and implement the necessary precautionary measures to prevent incidents
Relay crucial information to coordinators and Equipment team regarding vendors, repair updates, parts requests
Communicate updates with the coordinators and the Equipment team regarding mobilization and demobilization dates
Review accuracy of timesheets and capturing potential job costs
Daily & weekly meetings with operations providing updates on safety, out of service equipment, daily line-ups, running repairs, upcoming preventative maintenance services and job costs
Coordinate and supervises the repair and schedule(s) for on-going maintenance and preventive maintenance on assigned jobsites with the operations designate.
Provides daily direction to field mechanics based on job priorities and monitors progress
Oversee all subcontractors to ensure adherence to Morgan's values and safety standards
Provide direction and clarifications to sub-trades on a daily basis and as requested, ensure they are following established project safety practices and standards
Provide field presence to ensure that the status of repairs are understood and repairs adhere to corporate quality standards.
Provides personal leadership to create positive and productive relationships with all internal and external parties to maximize performance and results.
Maintain excellent knowledge of and ability to understand adhere to site-specific safety rules, maintenance instructions, training manuals, warning labels, traffic signs, and procedural guides
Conduct daily safety meetings and complete daily activity reports (FLHAs, Report Cards, Mechanical Repair Requests, etc.)
Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
Maintain awareness of the surrounding environment and potential hazards, such as other equipment or personnel.
Demonstrate exceptional judgement and problem solving skills.
Ensure the corporate values are understood, embraced and implemented throughout the department; and personally, demonstrates them in daily interactions and relationships;
Demonstrating versatility in collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.
Operate 2-way radio
Other duties as / when assigned

Experience / Qualification Requirements:


Minimum of 2 years of recent, progressive experience leading a HEAVY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TEAM, is required.
Minimum of 5 years experience maintaining heavy equipment is required
Interprovincial Red Seal HET or equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading teams in various locations is preferred
