Demand Generation Manager

Location: Remote. Join us as an employee if you’re based in Canada, or as a contractor if you’re elsewhere. If you’re in Vancouver, you’re also welcome to work from our office.

Timezone: As a Canadian company, most of us work across Canadian / U.S. timezones so that we can collaborate and communicate easily. We expect you to be generally available to work during these hours, while still allowing for some flexibility over your schedule.

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Base Salary: CA$90,000 – CA$120,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus

About Us

We are Hushmail, a long-established SaaS company that provides encrypted email and secure web forms, primarily serving solo and small healthcare practices. Known for simplicity, privacy, and compliance, we support tens of thousands of customers in the U.S. and Canada, especially in the mental health space.

Role Overview

We’re on an ambitious growth journey and are expanding our marketing capabilities within our RevOps team by bringing on our first dedicated Demand Generation Manager (you!). You’ll work alongside our Marketing Manager, our Sales Team, as well as our contractors and agency partners.

Your mission is simple: generate a steady, scalable stream of marketing qualified leads and free trial signups that convert into paying customers. You’ll work closely within RevOps to ensure our demand-gen efforts directly fuel revenue growth.

This is a high-impact, metrics-driven role where you’ll be expected to roll up your sleeves, design, execute, and optimize campaigns, experiment, and deliver results.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on both strategic and tactical execution, can own a number, is highly-driven, and is eager to scale demand-gen programs in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

This role will report directly to Chris Garrett, our Chief Revenue Officer.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for marketing activities, campaigns, and experiments, that drive new leads and trial signups, for example:

Creating lead-generating content assets (e.g., gated content, webinars, ads, lead magnets).
Designing and executing lead generation campaigns (e.g. Switch campaigns, competitor campaigns, designing website lead-gen tactics (e.g. quizzes, calculators))
Performance Marketing → Managing and scaling our paid ads (Google, Facebook, etc).
Engaging potential customers through Social media and Communities → Reddit, Facebook, Groups, etc.
Events → Exhibiting for Hushmail at healthcare conferences (if you're North-America based)
Partner Programs → Running our affiliate and referral programs, and building partner relationships
Requirements

Driven and results-oriented with a record of being directly accountable for a meaningful marketing or revenue metric (e.g., number of leads, trial signups, pipeline, or revenue)
Has examples of building and running successful marketing campaigns and programs that achieved meaningful results
Understands SaaS concepts and communicates fluently in SaaS metrics
Previous experience working in demand generation, growth marketing, or a similar role in a SaaS company that matches our stage and model:
Similar growth phase ($3m-$10m ARR)
High volume, low ACV go-to-market motion
Worked in a small but mighty marketing function (we have one marketing manager and many contractors/agencies)
Understands strategy but is willing to execute and ship, not just strategize and design
Highly creative thinker, able to think of new and ingenious ways to market our service with a history of executing creative campaigns.
Fluent in using AI tools and the latest tactics to enhance and accelerate marketing campaigns, with the adaptability to stay ahead.
What We Offer

A chance to work closely with a small, friendly, collaborative, and supportive RevOps team, with direct exposure to leadership, reporting to the CRO.
A competitive salary and bonus aligned with experience and market standards, with annual compensation reviews.
Generous paid vacation and sick days to support work-life balance
The opportunity to make a big impact in a lean SaaS environment where your ideas and execution directly influence our growth
The opportunity to advance and grow, as the company grows.
What type of person will be a good fit in this role?

You work well in a small company – Working for a small SaaS company can be challenging. We can be scrappy, not every process is figured out, and sometimes, things do break. But, you get to have real ownership, influence, impact, and the ability to truly shape our future. There’s no-where to hide, but there’s also real opportunity to grow.
You are motivated to win – Every morning you’re excited to check your dashboard, see how your latest campaign is performing, and track our progress toward hitting our goals. You use data to make sure you’re on the right track. When things go wrong, or are looking down, you are resilient. You’re constantly reading, watching, and learning about the latest in SaaS marketing because you love what you do and want to get ahead. And even when you’re not working, your brain is swirling with potential new ideas, ready to share on Monday morning.
You act with urgency and care – You value executing an idea quickly, proving concepts, and iterating as needed, over absolute perfection. Deadlines are a challenge to be embraced, not something to shy away from. Even with speed, you take care to think things through, get buy-in where necessary, and manage stakeholders.
You’re humble and people smart – You’re great at building relationships in all areas and levels of the company, with people of differing views and backgrounds. You can understand others perspectives and experiences, while using your people skills to work collaboratively and push through change when needed.

If we think you might be a good fit, we’ll have an intro call where we can chat informally about Hushmail, your candidacy, and answer any questions you may have.

4. CEO Interview

The final interview step. You’ll be invited to chat with Ben, our CEO, to see if there’s a deeper cultural fit between you and Hushmail.
